Your first visit
For your first visit, plan to arrive 15 minutes early to allow time for initial registration and to provide information on your medical history. Please bring along any medications you are currently taking as well as a list of allergies. We also need information about your insurance coverage.
Office consultations
Initial evaluation and follow-up care is carried out in our office. Whenever possible please bring along X-rays and records for our review. You will undergo a history and physical examination at your initial evaluation and during follow-up exams, especiallybefore endoscopy examinations. If a Colonoscopy or EGD needs to be schedule, this would be scheduled at either the Endoscopy Center in our office or at one of the local area hospitals. Upon completion of our evaluation, we will review our findings and recommendations with you. A full report will also be sent to your referring physician.
Prescriptions
Prescriptions and refills are issued during regular office hours. For refills, your pharmacy will need to fax the request to our office for physician approval. It will then be faxed back to the pharmacy as quickly as possible. If you need a new prescription, please call the office and speak to the nurse; who will review your records before the physician issues a new prescription. No routine prescription refills will be processed at night or on weekends.
