Safety
We strive to provide the highest quality of care for our patients while maintaining the highest standards of safety. Safety of our patients is our utmost concern. Our physicians, nurses and anesthetists review your medical records thoroughly before doing any procedure at our facility. Our staff are certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and are dedicated to monitoring our patient before and after a procedure. Our physicians are board certified in their respective specialties. All of our physicians have privileges to admit patients at Grace Hospital in Morganton, which is less than five minutes from our facility.
State of the art technology
We use the state of the art Olympus Hi definition 180 series endoscopes in our facility. We are only one of the few facilities in North Carolina using the High definition endoscopes. The high resolution and clarity of the images obtained with the high definition endoscopes enables us to detect abnormal lesions like colon polyps at a much earlier stage than possible with standard endoscopy.
Continuous Quality Improvement
We pay close attention to the surveys we send out with our patients and that is available at our web site. We have seen a very high level of satisfaction among our patients.
Our continuous quality improvement measures track the performance of our physicians. We have been tracking our cecal intubation rates, adenoma detection rates and the withdrawal time from the cecum. Our physicians have consistently outperformed national benchmarks for these quality measures.
Accreditation by AAAHC ( Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care)
Our facility has been built to meet the high standards required by Medicare. We are accredited by the AAAHC ( Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care)as an organization committed to providing high-quality health care. The accreditation certificate is a symbol that our facility has demonstrated the commitment by measuring up to the Accreditation Association's high standards.
